March 2017 Finance Update

After reading a few different blogs one thing that really drew my attention and sparked my interest was the transparency that they showed when explaining their achievements. Not only did this make everything seem more believable but it provided tangible ideas on how to make financial independence become realistic.

 

It also helps with the following:

  • I genuinely want to prove that financial independence and early retirement is possible and this blog will be my ‘live feed’ as I make it happen.
  • It provides me with my own detailed breakdown of how I am going. From both an income and cost basis.
  • It makes me more accountable. By posting these details to the World Wide Web I am putting myself in the spotlight.
  • People reading my monthly expense reports might learn some new skills on budgeting and analysis which might help them make a positive difference in their financial aspirations.
